Even more pathetic was the individual who walked (crawled on knees) into the police station, handed a gun over and asked for the police to destroy it. While it is true that many police and armed service people do commit acts of heroism, the absolute reverence people are showing toward them is sickening. They are no better than the rest of us.
Self-defense is a God-given (or natural, if you prefer) right. Ownership of inanimate objects, which guns are, is also a God-given right. These are some of the unalienable rights referred to in the Declaration of Independence. The Founders were very wise and knew the natural rights of individuals do not change. The Bill of Rights was written with this in mind.
We must regain our liberties, accept responsibilities and stop crawling to Big Brother for protection. Nickolas Wildstar, the presumptive Libertarian candidate for California governor, is determined to restore liberty in this state. Please support him.
